THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN HISTORICAL EVENT AND JUST A STORY
A few years ago, I made a video (7 mins) which shows that the death burial and resurrection of Jesus is not just a story or a myth. It is history. It happened in time and space 2,000 years ago on planet earth! It would be good for your children to see the video.
I want to send the link to this video for your reference as we reflect on the historic events that we remember during this Easter season.
Also, on the video I recommended that all families start to create their own TIMELINE (6 metres long) as shown in this video.
You can, over the years add many historic events to your family’s timeline e.g. Plato, Aristotle, many Bible events and personalities, Greece, the Roman Republic and Roman Empire, the great composers and artists, the Industrial Revolution, the Reformation, Captain Cook, Australia’s gold rush and Federation etc. and of course, you can add your own family’s historic events.
This helps your children to see their lives in perspective and relevant to God’s history of the world. On the video, you will see the joy in one of my grandsons as he sees where he fits into history, with the use of the timeline.
Have fun with your family’s timeline. When we home educated our children, ayears ago, we bluetaced our timeline to a wall in the room where we doing our PACEs.
