Doing a PACE Test? Follow the correct procedure!

Once your child has successfully completed the Self-Test at the end of the PACE, he or she is ready to do the PACE Test.

Your child has been learning whilst working through the PACE. Make sure he/she knows the material BEFORE attempting the Checkups and the Self Test.

Here are the Procedures for your child doing the PACE Test.

  • After your child successfully completes the Self Test, he/she hands in the completed PACE to you, the parent supervisor.

  • THE NEXT DAY, you take the PACE test from your secure file, and issue the PACE Test to your child.

  • You supervise your child whilst he/she does the PACE Test.

  • There are NO TEST KEYS AVAILABLE TO YOUR CHILD during the PACE Test. This is a test. It must be done under testing conditions. No cheating.

  • When your child finishes the PACE Test, he/she hands it to you.

  • YOU SCORE THE PACE TEST using the PACE Test Key. YOUR CHILD DOES NOT SCORE THE PACE TEST.

  • The next day:

    • Review the PACE Test with your child,

    • If successful issue a star on the Star Chart, with a good dose of encouragement, and

    • issue a new PACE.

    • Have a word of prayer for your child as he/she commences the next PACE
