Easter time is when we celebrate the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus’ Resurrection
Having fully paid for the sins of the world by entering into the punishment of death on our behalf, Jesus rose out of death on the third day after his death. The Holy Bible indicates that this unprecedented feat was achieved through the cooperative actions of God the Father, Jesus Himself and God the Holy Spirit.
Because Jesus is “Life” (John 14:6), death could not hold Him in the grave. Jesus’ resurrection demonstrated:
God’s final triumphant power over death itself;
that Jesus’ death had satisfied God’s just demands that the penalty for sin had been fully paid;
that there is life after death, death is not the end of existence for humanity;
the greatest hope that humanity could ever hope for - a release from the power of death.
May this Easter be a wonderful time for you to contemplate both the historical facts and the deep truths and blessings, which God achieved and delivered to fallen mankind, as a result of the historical event of Jesus’ resurrection.
May you also grow in your gratitude to God for His intervention and sacrifice on our behalf.
May you grow in your faith in Him, as He is able achieve momentous and wondrous things, far beyond our comprehension.
May you celebrate the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ with joy and gladness this Easter.
