As we approach the end of Semester 1, it is a really good time to evaluate your progress in relation to your goals for the year. Your goal for this year may have been as simple as ensuring that your child started to enjoy learning again. It may have been the ambitious goal of completing your Senior School Certificate by the end of the year. Whatever your goals may be, it is important to revisit them from time to time and see how you are going.
The end of Semester 1 is a good time to do this. Not only is it halfway through the year, but it is also the time where we will be generating report cards that recognise the work that each student has been doing to reach those goals. Below are a few pointers to ensure that this process runs smoothly. This will enable us to send out report cards in a timely manner.
Please send in your marked and scored tests no later than the 1st of July. Indeed, if you finish the semester earlier than the end of June, do not hesitate to send the work in before the end of June.
If your test envelope is received after the 15th of July, we cannot guarantee that these results will be on the Semester 1 report. This is due to the need to close the reporting period, allowing staff to prepare, check and print reports ready for posting to you.
Avoid sending multiple months of work in at the end of the semester. If you have completed tests ready to go, please send them in now. When we receive envelopes with multiple months of data entry, it delays the printing of report cards for everybody. It may also mean that the results do not make it on to Semester 1 reports.
Remember, the report cards will only contain results that have been returned to us. If no work is returned, you will not receive a report card.
Please ensure that you notify ACHS of any changes in your details, specifically any address changes. This will ensure that report cards contain the correct information and are delivered to the correct address.
We endeavour to send reports out by the end of July. We cannot guarantee this, however, but will to post reports as early as possible.
Lastly, once you receive your reports, please check them carefully and notify ACHS of any errors promptly.
