Free Coding Courses
Grok academy provides courses in coding for students of all ages and abilities. It is now free to Australian students and their teachers.
Please be aware that Grok courses do not necessarily align with the Biblical worldview. Parents, please use your discernment if your children are doing Grok Academy’s courses and competitions.
Grok Academy is a not-for-profit education technology provider. Grok’s team of qualified and experienced educators create curriculum-aligned content, online courses, competitions and teaching resources to support teachers in Digital Technologies and related fields. Grok has made it possible for every student whether at school or home schooled and teacher or home schooling parent in Australia to have access to its high quality, curriculum-aligned, Digital Technologies resources. FREE ACCESS is available now to home educators.
To access the courses parents will need to register a homeschool on Grok and sign up their children. Grok has provided a guide that walks you through all the steps required, and that can be found here: I'm a parent, how do I sign up my children? If you are interested in this, NOW is the time to sign up to a free trial with them.
You will be set up as an institute, which will allow you to enrol your child(ren).
They will be able to enrol themselves in courses of interest, you will be able to enrol them - and/or yourself in courses of interest AND you will have access to all of the answers etc. (as the teacher of the institute)
If it's set up now, it will automatically roll over to a free account at the start of next year.
Email : support@groklearning.com , let them know you are a home educating family and that you're interested in signing up as an institution. They will then get in touch with you with what you need to do then.
