We use spoken and written words every single day to communicate ideas, thoughts, and emotions to those around us. Sometimes we communicate successfully, and sometimes we’re not quite so successful. A good vocabulary can help us say what we mean. Here are some new words to add to your student’s vocabulary.
Immutable (adjective)
Not changing, or unable to be changed.
e.g. We consider God to be immutable.
Change (noun)
The act of becoming different, or the result of something becoming different.
e.g. . When I look back on the change in my life, I can thank God!
Integrity (noun)
The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
e.g. We expect that students will complete their learning with integrity.
Procedure (Noun)
Requirement (noun)
Something that you must do, or something that you need.
e.g. Moderation is a requirement for the certificate.
Pertinent (adjective)
Relating directly to the subject being considered.
e.g. The information is pertinent to high school students.
