LOG-O-PHILE

Updated: Jun 11

We use spoken and written words every single day to communicate ideas, thoughts, and emotions to those around us. Sometimes we communicate successfully, and sometimes we’re not quite so successful. A good vocabulary can help us say what we mean. Here are some new words to add to your student’s vocabulary.

Faith (noun)

Confidence or trust in a person or thing

e.g. “I have faith in Jesus.”

Saviour (noun)

A person who rescues another person or a thing from danger or harm.

e.g. “Jesus Christ is my saviour.”

Repent (verb)

To turn from sin. To change one’s mind about a matter.

Gospel (noun)

The “good news” that God the Father has sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sin. Faith in Jesus brings us this benefit.
