The Australian Government has committed to delivering a further 300,000 Fee-Free TAFE places across Australia, over 3 years, from January 2024.
This offer may be an excellent opportunity for some of our students!
Students can access a range of qualifications whilst:
Still home schooling – for Years 10-12 level students or
After finishing home schooling
For students still home schooling, there are VET in School Programs in most states and territories.
For ex-students, looking for a course of study focussed to a career pathway, you may be eligible for Fee Free courses.
Alternatively, VET Student Loans (VSL), which is a loan from the Australian Government to help eligible students pay their tuition fees. Students’ loans are repaid through the Australian tax system, when they reach a minimum income threshold (when employed), for repayment.
The subsidised access to TAFE courses is being funded by the Commonwealth Government, so they will be available to all states and territories.
